A LIVE OPERATOR WILL TAKE CALLS 24 / 7
The Mentor Schools Crisis Hotline is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to report any threat to the safety of our school community at any building or school event. The Crisis Hotline can also be used to report instances of bullying anonymously (in accordance with the Jessica Logan Act).
A live, local operator will field all calls and direct them to the appropriate school or public safety officials. A caller does not have to identify themselves or leave a phone number.
When should a call be made?
Any time an individual hears that a threat has been made regarding the safety or well-being of our students and/or staff or other activities that would/could cause damage to our facilities or equipment, where he/she would not feel comfortable calling 911. This includes, but is not limited to:
Bomb Threat
Bullying
Death Threat
Drug Sale (marijuana, hallucinogens)
Fighting – students planning to fight on school property
Suicide Threat
Tampering – with school cleaning materials, cafeteria food tampering, etc.

Please remember, if you know any kind of danger or emergency is imminent, we recommend calling 911 before the Crisis Hotline.
