2016 Mentor High Alumni Scholarship

The Alumni and Friends of Mentor High School will award up to four (4) scholarships annually, at the discretion of the board of trustees. A $500, $400 and $300 scholarship will be awarded to a 2015 MHS graduate who is currently enrolled in a 2 year or 4 year college or university. A $200.00 scholarship will be awarded to a 2015 MHS graduate who is currently enrolled in a career technical program, trade school or vocational school. The Association is looking for outstanding students who are incorporating the education they received from Mentor High School as well as service to community into their post-secondary education and career goals.

Criteria:

1. The applicant must be a graduate of Mentor High School and have attended MHS (or an affiliated career tech program) for at least 2 years. 2. The applicant must be enrolled in a college, university, career technical school, trade school or vocational school during the 2015-16 school year. 3. The applicant must have earned a minimum GPA of 2.5 during their 1^st semester at their respective college, university, career tech, vo-ed or trade school. 4. The scholarship is intended for those who are currently in their 1^st year of college, university, career tech, vo-ed or trade school and intend to continue their post-secondary education. The scholarship is non-renewable and applicants may only apply one time. It is intended for those who are seeking their 1^st under graduate degree only. 5. Please include a letter of reference from a current employer, professor or advisor. 6. Please submit the required information (can be on separate paper) to the following address:
